Newsletter 12/12/22

Hi Everyone,

Thank you all for your well wishes! My wife is finally, slowly starting to feel better after 3 weeks of bronchitis & covid.

New Music shows (barring any other issues coming up) will return the week of December 19th.

I do have some updates, so I did want to send this out today.

Thursday, December 15th, turns 22! I can't thank all of you enough, some of you who I have known for 22 years, for being along on this crazy ride of doing an internet station & website largely dedicated to New Jersey's local music scene. would not exist, and would not be able continually add new music to our station every week without so many amazing artists here in the Garden State (and around the world for our Lazlo's Den program).

~'s New & Notable column will return to tomorrow with an extra large column featuring: Tony Lio, Funny Fuel, Jason Didner, Samuel Vincent, Renee Maskin, tiyu (ft. eleanor forte), thin ear, Zachary West & The Good Grief, JEFFREY, Long Neck, and Omen and the Possum

Also if you missed our last one (which I did not get to promote in the newsletter before) it features: The Vice Rags, Hit Like A Girl, Rob Munk, Sonofdov, and Amanda Duncan.

You can read all the New & Notable columns here:

And finally, is preparing for its second annual benefit webathon for National Foundation For Transplants (the NFT that has value):

The NFT saves lives by removing financial barriers that delay or prevent organ transplantation. One of the many people they have helped is Catherine Wacha (who is working with me to put this benefit together), who received a kidney transplant, that was necessary due to having Lupus.

The webathon will take place on March 4th & 5th, 2023

Like our other webathons, the plan is to do a compilation of previously unreleased original songs, and a webathon where musicians perform live (due to the ongoing pandemic performances will be done remotely via Skype or pre-recorded)

There are 2 ways for musicians to be involved:

1. I am looking for previously unreleased original songs (which can include acoustic or live versions of previously released songs, remixes, etc.) for this year's compilation. I ask that all songs be original (no covers) and that they remain exclusive to the compilation until June 1st, 2023 (3 months from the webathon). The songs will be due by February 17th, but if you have something ready, please feel free to send it now. Otherwise, if you think you can have something for the compilation, please let me know.

2. Looking for musicians to perform a 30 minute live set, via Skype (as with all our broadcasts, the video is for us to see each other, only the audio will be broadcast on air), for our webathon. We will definitely be broadcasting on March 4th, if enough people are interested we will do March 4th & March 5th. If you prefer, you can pre-record a set, but please make this an exclusive set (i.e. not a set livestreamed already)

From Catherine Wacha:
"The benefit we did in 2022 was a huge success and the folks at National Foundation for Transplants were incredibly grateful for not only the money we raised but the awareness we all brought to the organization. It is an honor to be able to help them out again."

If you are interested in being part of the webathon or have any questions, please let me know.
