Lazlo's Corner

Among the many things I've been working on lately is reorganizing the studio here. In cleaning up I've found a lot of things from New Jersey rock's past 16+ years. Bio sheets, photos, live recordings...all sorts of stuff that showcases the diversity of New Jersey's local music scene since our inception in 2000. I'm hoping at some point to scan & convert this stuff, and post as much as I can on BlowUpRadio.com (the live recordings will likely be most difficult as it will require permission of each act, many of which are defunct).

I think it is very important that while our new NJ music show showcases the present and future of NJ's local music scene, that we also spotlight all the amazing acts that have been part this local music scene over the years (as we began doing with our Artist Playlists). Just because a band broke up, doesn't mean we should forget about them. We haven't forgotten about Nirvana or the Beatles. Yes, you can argue that these local NJ bands were never as famous as the two examples I just gave, but does fame equal good? not always (insert any number of acts that were popular at one time but were not not very good).

So while BlowUpRadio.com always wants to be on the forefront of what's happening now in the local music scene, we simultaneously want to remind people of all the amazing music that has come out of this scene.
