Pissed Off!

Kudos to Oprah for again trying to use her show for good with the No Phone Zone campaign.

"My biggest hope for the No Phone Zone campaign is that it becomes mandatory that no one uses their phone in the car or texts while driving — just as seat belts are mandatory, just as driving while drunk is considered absolutely taboo,” Ms. Winfrey said in a statement. “I’m hoping that this becomes not just law, but second nature for all of us.” - Oprah (http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/04/30/oprahs-no-phone-zone-day)

Not a day goes by that I don't see at least a half dozen drivers talking on their cell phones without a headset, which is against the law in New Jersey. But while Oprah is at it, here's another thing I hope she tells drivers to stop doing...

STOP THROWING YOUR CIGARETTE BUTTS OUT THE WINDOW!

You probably don't even think about it, but throwing cigarette butts out the window is littering, and extremely harmful to the environment.

Even Brian Williams was recently reporting about it on the Nightly News.

Sadly, much like drivers talking on cell phones, not a day goes by I don't see people flicking ash and cigarette butts out there window.

Now I don't care if you smoke in your car, I don't want to smell it, but that's your business in your car. What I do care about is that you dispose of it properly...like in an ash tray, WHICH IS IN EVERY CAR!

So please, stop littering, and dispose of your cigarette butts properly.

That's all for this week folks.

Peace,
Lazlo
