Hey Everyone,

The BlowUpRadio.com Free Concert Series, is back with two shows in May!

Saturday May 8th - Jonathan Andrew, Brett Harris, Christian Beach, Filmstar

Saturday May 15th - Dr. Void and the Death Machines, The Filthy 3, The Break Evens

Both shows are at Buddie’s Tavern, 277 Johnsons Lane, Parlin (Sayreville), NJ

~

And speaking of Buddie’s Tavern…

Buddies Tavern is looking for a soundman trainee. This is a good slot for someone who wants to learn how to setup/ soundcheck/mix/and record a live band. I have over 25 years experience and whoever wants to do this will walk away calling themselves a real soundman. The pay is crap but it's an amazing training while under fire for the right candidate. If you or anyone you know is interested in this please contact this email address. grausound@aol.com

The work would be Saturday nights 8pm til 2 am.

Thanks
Mike Grau

The May BlowUpRadio.com Guitar Pull will feature Brett Harris, and J Orellana (from The Tea & Whiskey).

Concert Picks Of The Week

~

Lazlo (BlowUpRadio.com)

It's not often that Sounds Of Greg D plays out these days, so when the opportunity arises, one should make sure to seize it. This Saturday is one such opportunity at The Court Tavern in New Brunswick.

~

Jim Testa (Jersey Beat)

Thursday, April 29
SCREAMING FEMALES, Invisible Lines, Killed By The Bull, Eastern Anchors - Kearny Irish American Club, 95 Kearny Ave. Kearny - 8:30 pm, $12, all ages

Eastern Anchors features ex-members of Aviso Hara, Killed By the Bull is an exciting New Brunswick hardcore band, Invisible Lines recently released one of my favorite post-punk EP's of the year, and of course Screaming Females are the red-hot guitar-rock trio who just finished touring with Ted Leo.

~

Danny Coleman (Rock On Radio)

This week my concert pick is Miss LAURA CHEADLE live May 1st at PUCK in Doylestown Pa. This Princeton NJ "funky" rocker is an amazing talent who works a stage like nobody else that I've ever seen. A true high energy entertainer, CHEADLE never disappoints. PUCK is located on Printers Lane in Doylestown Pa. and the show starts @ 8:30 pm. ROCK ON!

Pissed Off!

In all seriousness, I may not be a fan of Poison these days, but they had a place in my life while I was growing up.

The thought of never being able to hear Bret Michaels yell out, “CC, pick up that and talk to me!”, truly is a sad thought.

Get well Bret Michaels!

Then I can make fun of Poison again without feeling bad about it.

Ah, you know what they say, we only make fun of bands we used to love.

------------------------------

That's all for this week folks.

Peace,
Lazlo
