Newsletter 5-11-09

Hey Everyone,

This week is all about me!

Just kidding.

But, this Saturday is my (Lazlo) Birthday Bash!, and I hope you all can make it out to celebrate me getting a year closer to my death.

Live original music will be supplied by The Heshers, Nerve Tonic, and The Break Evens!

Buddie’s Tavern (277 Johnsons Ln., Parlin (Sayreville), NJ), is going to be rocking this Saturday night with this very special BlowUpRadio.com Free Concert Series show

It’s going to be a rocking night!

And as always, the show is FREE!

I just finished watching a DVD documentary on Philadelphia NPR station, WXPN (the DVD came with the excellent interview book, The Best Of World Café). The documentary shows how WXPN really fosters community between up & coming artists and it’s listeners, something that the old WHTG did well, and something that I have been trying to do with BlowUpRadio.com & Lazlo’s Den for over 8 years now.

While I consider myself successful with both endeavors (although really Lazlo’s Den is just a part of BlowUpRadio.com, and not a separate entity), there’s still a long way to go to really develop the community that an XPN or HTG does/did.

This is where you come in. I love throwing this question out to all of you a few times a year, because I always receive some great feedback that helps me figure out areas of improvement.

What would you like to see on BlowUpRadio.com and/or LazlosDen.com that you don’t see or hear? If you were running these sites/webcasts, what would you do differently?

Your answers always leads to changes to the website, and additional programming, such as the addition of DJs Jim Testa, and Tris McCall (and hopefully a few more in the near future), as well as the BlowUpRadio.com Guitar Pull.

Your answers could also affect future live concerts that we put on at Buddie’s tavern and other venues.

There are thousands of people who read this newsletter each week, but on a good night maybe a tenth of you make it out to a BlowUpRadio.com Free Concert Show. Now some of you live way out of state from NJ, but many of you live in the state. Is there something missing from our live show series that would make you come out?

I’d love to hear from all of you, and not just positive things, throw the negatives in. It’s the negatives that help make these websites/webcasts better.

So please, reply to this newsletter with your thoughts on BlowUpRadio.com & Lazlo’s Den.

And as always, thank you!
