What a week! Wednesday began our first Folk You! show at our new home for Folk You!, Shannon Lounge. Despite a game 7 situation for the Yankees (how the hell did they blow that series?!?), the show was still well attended. Big thanks to Terri Rodriguez & Josh Van Ness, Michelle Vecchione, Mark Linskey and My Pocket Zoo, for all putting on stellar performances. And now for some BIG news about Folk You! Beginning with November's show, Folk You! is moving to Thursday nights. That's right, now you can enjoy Folk You! one day closer to the weekend at our new home Shannon Lounge. Join us for our first Thursday show on November 18th. And then there's the other thing that happened this past week... Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! to everyone who came out and supported the first NJ Indie Music Fest this past Saturday night at Centro Night Club in South Amboy. We raised closed to a thousand dollars for Jersey Jams, Jersey Cares and proved that when we all work together we can make the scene better. So many people made this show possible, and I thank them all. We all banded together and got the word out about the scene to a larger audience. Rest assured, there will be another NJ Indie Music Fest event next year. On the website front, check out the band links section of BlowUpRadio.com, which has been redesigned to include band logos.
