Message From Lazlo

Hey everybody,

This Wednesday is another BlowUpRadio.com's FOLK YOU! show happening at
Rodeo-Ristra
230 Washington St (next to McDonalds), Hoboken, NJ (201)216-1550
*****THIS IS A FREE SHOW*****

And the line-up for this edition of FOLK YOU! is:

John Raido ~ (Boxcar Nancy) ~ John Raido is a singer/songwriter that has a strong foundation in traditional country and folk stylings. He wrote, sang, played all the instruments and self-produced his first CD, "see you next Tuesday". Come see him play his intimate music in this intimate setting.

Keith Monacchio (The Commons) ~ In June of 1999, after leaving the C/Z Records based alt-psyche-rock band The Semibeings, Keith Monacchio assembled local Trenton, New Jersey musicians Chris Bellis, Sean Glonek, Tom McDonald, and Tom Kale to work on demos he had written away from his former band. 5 years later, The Commons are still going strong with Keith's creative, mature yet simplistic songwriting and music at the forefront of everything they do.

Maybe Pete ~ maybe pete is a straight up rock band based in northern New Jersey with a sound best described as the Bowery meets Asbury Park. With influences ranging from Bob Dylan to the Sex Pistols, elements of pop, folk, blues and punk collide in maybe pete's brand of rock 'n' roll. This is a rare chance to see them playing unplugged.

Kris Gambino (Television Down) ~ Television Down was originally intended as a long-awaited solo project by vocalist/guitarist, Kris Gambino, while breaking away from start-up bands in New Brunswick, such as indie-rock band, All-Star Low and noise rock band, Vellum. The approach was less emphasis on making the songs that people would expect to hear and more emphasis on having the lyrics match the feel of the music. Here's an opportunity to hear what the songs would have been had the "band" ended up being a solo project.

Plus everyone who comes down to the show gets a FREE copy of BlowUpRadio.com's Local Music Sampler CD volume 2, featuring 18 local bands (complete track list can be found here).

So come on out for what is sure to be an excellent night of acoustic rock.

Peace,
Lazlo
