2. MESSAGE FROM LAZLO

Well Halloween is Friday and I hope everyone has fun scaring one another. but I have to admit what truly scares me lately is checking out some of the local music scene's message boards. The local original music scene in New Jersey is already fractured and crumbling, do we need people posting how one band is better than another? Do we need moronic posts of, "your band sucks"? What do we hope to achieve by writing this things? Superiority? More like proving one's stupidity.

I hate to turn this message area into a sounding off board, but people we need to work together and help one another. Hey you may not like (insert band name here)'s music, but we're all still a part of the local music scene and we can work together as an extended family and try to make this scene something, or we can bicker until we're blue in the face looking like immature idiots that don't deserve any respect.

Fine I sound like a peace loving hippie right now, but is there anything wrong with us respecting each other even if we don't like a particular band or their sound? They're still up there on the stage trying just like everyone else, and as long as they're trying they deserve respect even if the music is not to your liking. You'd hope they would respect you wouldn't you?

I may be ranting to the wrong people here, as I like to think the people on this list aren't the ones making these comments on the boards or heckling a band while they are playing, but if you know someone doing this, let them know that they are only making it tougher on the scene as a whole.

I believe in the local original music scene and I believe we can make it something special if we work together. Let's make it something special. Let's support one another and let's respect one another.

Peace,
Lazlo
