I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and was thankful for whatever it is you have to be thankful for. Me, I am thankful for having blowupradio.com as a way to introduce local music to the masses, and I am even more thankful to each and everyone of you that take the time to read this newsletter and check out the site and webcast each week. Without all of you, well I'd probably still do this, but to have people actually notice...well, thanks! I certainly would have no reason to do an Anniversary bash (December 15th at Broadway Central Cafe benefitting Toys for Tots. Click here for info), if no one was paying attention to blowupradio.com, so that's really what I am thankful for.
I also want to thank the Crayons and Paul Crane of Bastards of Melody, as well as all the staff of O'Donnell's Pub and everyone who came out the Pre-Thanksgiving show I hosted. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did, and enjoyed the sets that Paul Crane and the Crayons put on. I wish the Crayons a lot of luck in spreading their music as they have just begun a month long tour of the southeast. And a personal aside to Paul Crane: When are you going to do a solo album? I love the Bastards music (boy does that look weird in type), but maybe take a short break to record a solo album like Justin Mikulka the frontman for Cathode Bob, who recently released his second solo album entitled, "move toward the exit". The solo album shows a different side of Justin's music than a Cathode Bob album does. Both are satisfyingly good music. Just a thought there Paul, as your solo music would sound great on blowupradio.com.
